The Board of Fife Environment Trust recently met to consider 15 large grant requests for funding.

Of the 15 applications submitted, the Board agreed to approve 12 projects including:

  • £24,956.86 to BRAG Enterprises towards costs associated with creating a community growing space and creating a training and test space.
  • £33,228 to Dalgety Community Trust towards costs associated with creation of a pump track promoting cycling and other wheeled sports for all ages and abilities.
  • £50,000 to St Andrews Preservation Trust towards costs associated with the redevelopment of St Andrews Heritage Museum and Garden.
  • £50,000 to Camphill Rudolf Steiner Schools Ltd towards costs associated with retrofitting a disused building on Murtle Estate into an energy efficient building operating a community recycling project.
  • £30,000 to Forth Rivers Trust towards costs associated with delivering a series of landscape scale restorative interventions on Balcaskie Estate, in the upper reaches of the Dreel Burn.

In total £477,757.62 was committed by the Trust for projects to improve public amenities and helping improve biodiversity.
